Where Are the World’s Millionaires Concentrated?

Global wealth isn’t distributed evenly — and the latest Knight Frank report shows just how sharply millionaire populations vary across regions. North America leads by a wide margin with around 970,000 millionaires, driven by the United States’ massive tech, finance, and real-estate sectors. Asia follows closely with 854,000, reflecting rapid economic growth and the rise of high-net-worth individuals in China, India, and Southeast Asia.

Europe holds 343,000 millionaires, while the Middle East — powered by energy wealth, investment migration, and financial hubs like the UAE — accounts for 57,000. Latin America (49,000), Australia (47,000), and Africa (20,000) round out the list.

These numbers highlight shifting global power centers: wealth is expanding fastest in Asia and the Middle East, while traditional regions like Europe are growing more slowly. As economic influence moves, so do investment flows, luxury markets, and opportunities for global business.

Where do you think the next big surge in millionaires will come from?
